Mixed Martial Arts Photography

I’ve been an active sports photographer for over 3 years. I’ve cornered the niche market of mixed martial arts photography. Mixed martial arts photography is unique in the fact that you’re shooting in low light conditions against a caged fence, with lots of actions. The best photographers with top of the line cameras have stated that mixed martial arts, is a challenge, and I take pride in the fact that I’ve more or less mastered it.

I would love to be on the West Coast, Las Vegas in particular where locals have easy access to the UFC. I’ve covered shows such as UWC(Ultimate Warrior Challenge) and the now defunct EliteXC made famous by Kimbo Slice. Currently I’m part of a team and we cover Mixed Martial Arts in the D.C. Metro area as much as possible. We run throughthecage.com, and mmafightpics.com. We conduct fighter interviews, as well as portraits. If you’re a fighter local to us and interested in a portrait, contact me.

Celebrated Wedding Anniversary in Puerto Rico

My wife and I recently celebrated our third marriage anniversary in Puerto Rico. Each year we try and do something other than buy flowers, jewelry, and etc. Last year we ate at Michel Richard’s Citronelle in Washington D.C., and the year before we stayed in a suite at the Mayflower hotel in Washington D.C.. This year we were undecided until a couple of weeks before the date of our anniversary.

When I’m on vacation, I try to relax and leave as much technology behind such as cell phones, laptops, and etc. Unfortunately the photographer side of me does not let me travel with out a DSLR to take photos. I’m sure my wife got tired of me stopping every few feet to take photos! We strolled the streets of Old San Juan, San Juan, Isla Verde, Fajardo and more. I’d say the highlight of the trip for my wife at least was scuba diving with sea ventures. I on the otherhand was having fun, until the first time dive ended and I got sick.

While in Puerto Rico we stayed at the Le Consulat hotel, its not a big resort but an awesome place to stay if you plan to be out and about experiencing Puerto Rico as we were. We had awesom Pina Coladas, and excellent food, and plan to return to Puerto Rico in the near future. For future couples Puerto Rico is an excellent honeymoon destination.
